Projects
| HiPCAT is the parent organization for several projects related to
high performance computing, grid computing, and their academic,
scientific, and industrial use throughout the state. The first formal
project to be created by HiPCAT is the Texas Internet Grid for Research
& Education (TIGRE), now in progress. TIGRE is a computational grid
development and deployment project that will integrate many of the
compute, visualization, and storage systems of HiPCAT institutions to
provide enhanced capabilities for researchers in Texas. The project
includes the exploration and development of data collections and
databases, computational resources, instruments, and sensors to provide
a powerful, comprehensive integrated grid for knowledge discovery. More
info about TIGRE and its related partner projects can be found on the
links below. |
